I love the ocean and I love people. My family and I work hard to protect our environment, creating a world that we can share, with equality and compassion. I am happiest sharing and enjoying nature with others, strangers, friends, and family.

Hermosa Beach, CA

What camp(s) did you visit?

El Salvador, Las Flores and La Libertad.

Why did you decide to come to El Salvador?

I wanted to surf and relax in a safe and beautiful place. I had heard so many great stories from friends about the great waves, the beautiful and warm people, and the amazing experience they got while staying with AST. I heard about the surf guides, their knowledge and service. I was blown away - El Salvador was awesome.

What’s your surfing level?

I surf all year in the South Bay. I love to surf and I have fun doing it.

What were your expectations before coming here?

That I was going to have a great time with the AST staff. That I was going to surf great waves, eat good food and get excellent service. My expectations were definitely met!

Did you have any concerns before coming?

The media hype about safety and crime. It was all hype. I felt safe and comfortable during my entire trip.

What was your favorite experience/activity here?

Surfing and playing dominos. Talking with the locals and learning about the life and culture of El Salvador.

What was your favorite memory here?

Surfing 8 straight days, sunrise to sunset with my friends.

What advice do you have for future guests?

You will be surrounded with caring and knowledgeable staff at AST. Make the most of their service. Get up, get out and enjoy the water.

If you could make up one quote right now that everyone in the world would hear, what would it be?

I cannot wait to come back to El Salvador and surf with the AST team!
